Would the producers let it be known that they were receiving thousands of angry letters? _Are_ they receiving said letters, or emails, or faxes? How can we ever know? And if they are getting them, are they reading them? Where are the answers? What is the meaning of it all? Why am I doing this? Huh? Eh? ? ---

It’s that they’re _losing_ bored viewers. According to that TV Guide article, the audience for _Enterprise_ is a fraction of the size of that for _Next Gen._ Of course, the audience for _Firefly_ was a fraction of that for _Enterprise_, so make of it what you will. ☹ ---
