IHOP is now promoting a all you can eat pancakes for the next few weeks and that does not sound too healthy to me. How many pancakes can a person actually eat over and over? Wouldn’t that be a bit much for the human digestive system? I can see all you can eat shrimp but not pancakes. Agree or Disagree? ---

If you watch one episode of the TV show “Review with Forrest MacNeil”, I recommend the episode where he reviews eating 15 pancakes, getting divorced, and eating 30 pancakes. ---

Seems like a pointless promotion. It’s nearly impossible to _not_ get pancakes at IHOP. I swear I once ordered just an iced tea, and it came with pancakes. ---

The ‘all you can eat pancake breakfast’ has been a staple of fundraising groups for decades. I’ve been to them at firehouses, small non-airline airports, museums, galleries, and even saw one at a funeral home. IME, they’re pretty common. ---

I usually get an omelet at IHOP, with spinach, mushrooms, Swiss, diced ham and Hollandaise sauce. That sucker’s big enough you don’t _need_ the short stack of pancakes that comes with it. So I get toast. ---

With my diabetes-run-amok, I could probably eat only two pancakes, before feeling all “I can’t believe I ate the whole thing”. I’d lose money on that deal. ---

Mrs. L.A. has decided I make breakfast better than restaurants. (She likes my hashbrowns.) So we don’t get out much. Sunday is usually pancake day. I usually have four pancakes, maybe five inches in diameter. These are accompanied by four rashers of bacon or three 1.6 ounce (before cooking) sausage patties. I could probably comfortably eat four more pancakes. So it makes sense to have all-you-can-eat pancakes. They’re cheap, and most people probably won’t be able to eat more than seconds. ---

I got “all you can eat” pancakes at Denny’s once (only $4). I was pissed because all I could eat was, like, four. Four! And I am a big lady! If you want to really take good advantage of an “all you can eat” situation, you need to pre-plan. ---

You’re all misunderstanding. it’s not all you _care to_ eat, it’s all you _can_ eat. You have to keep eating until you literally burst. Like the guy in Se7en. The MPQ\* does not apply. \*Maximum Pancake Quotient. When you’re eating pancakes and feel fine, then you get to that _one_ bite, and you’re done. That’s the MPQ ---
