Is this a parody of the anti-Islam threads? Because it’s doing exactly what those do. Because some terrorists shout “God is greater” in Arabic before doing bad things, you think that “God is greater” means terrorism. It’s not a good idea to pull your knowledge of Arabic from a [meme](http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/allahu-akbar). (And even that link tells you what it really means.) ---

Uhh, crap like this _does_ happen every day; if you [paid attention to the news](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_terrorist_incidents,_2015) you would know this. Hardly a week goes by without a terrorist attack somewhere in the world with a death toll in the dozens or even hundreds. Granted, the vast majority of attacks take place in countries like Nigeria, Pakistan, Yemen, or other places that most Westerners have barely heard of – it’s only when an attack strikes a country that white people may consider vacationing in that anyone seems to notice. ---

Thanks. The article is not excellent, it is a justification of DAESH and is poorly learned about the theology in history and contemporary. [There are many comments on these flaws](http://thinkprogress.org/world/2015/02/18/3624121/atlantic-gets-dangerously-wrong-isis-islam/) and [and half understanding that adopt the DAESH view](http://www.balloon-juice.com/2015/02/17/so-tell-me-whatcha-want-whatcha-really-really-want/) but are not part of the actual majority theology even for the Wahhabi. I am sure in any case for the OP that when I read about a drone strike that has killed innocents at a wedding party, I must say to myself “oh it must be those christians.” if I am to achieve the OP’s level of understanding of the world. ---
