I know it’s geeky, but I’m a meteorologist wannabee. Fascinated by the stuff. Unfortunately, I don’t do math. ☹ Also, I get really envious when I see people playing the marimba. Have only dinked around with them. I generously consider these untapped interests my “alter egos”. What are yours, if any? ? 😃 ---

I want to learn to play a homemade six hole Ocarina/whisthel that I purchased from a Greek hippy in Athens back in '86. I can only find 4 hole toots. ---

I wanted to be a dancer. I always felt as if I _had_ to move to the music, from the time I was little. But my folks couldn’t afford dance lessons, and when I was old enough to afford my own, I was way past limber. And here I am at 51, still aching when I hear certain music, knowing I need to be part of it, knowing I can’t. Ah well… ---

I always wanted to breed Arabian horses. (No , not like **THAT** , you perverts :eek: ) I have talent with horses , an eye for a good one , knowlege of pedigrees. Just no money to do it . ☹ Also a frurtrated writer . I’m trying , but it looks like I’ll be 60 years old al least if I get anything published… ---

Frustrated conceptual artist. The idea of sketching out a prop and having it built full size is really appealing for me – John Howe and Alan Lee had my dream job on the LOTR trilogy. Unfortunately I’m stymied by a complete lack of anything approaching talent. ---

Are the first 4 holes the same notes on 4 hole and 6 hole thingamawhistle? Perhaps you can still use the tabs of the 4 hole to get some basics down. John F ---

I’m a frustrated race car driver. Someday I’d like to be able to afford to have two cars: my daily driver, and something small and quick that I can take to Friday at the Track (FAT) a couple times a month. I’m also a big-time frustrated figure skater and/or dancer. I never wanted to dance when I was a kid (I was the singer in the family, my cousin was the dancer), and I’ve never liked going to the ballet or anything, but I’ve always loved to watch figure skating and – like **FairyChatMom** – have often felt compelled to express certain pieces of music physically. I’m now 33 and fat, but recently found a studio near me that offers an Adult Jazz I class: it’s too late for this semester, but if they don’t care that I’m out of shape (and I can afford it) I might have to seriously consider it for the spring. Sometimes I’m also a frustrated quantum physicist. ---

Frustrated economist… The subject fascinated me, but I was put off by the amount of people going into it as a way of getting rich quick. Frustrated synthesiser… The potential of computer generated music astounds me. I’ve put a few things together with MadTracker, and I’m trying to get to grips with Jeskola Buzz. But I have no grounding in musical theory, so my stuff is ‘progressive’ at best… Frustrated writer… I wouldn’t want to write for other people, but I’d still like to produce something _long_ and _structured_ rather than what I can best describe as the imagination’s equivalent of vomit. ---
