# Alternate History: UK keeps Hong Kong

Not quite the scenario depicted in the OP but I’m currently reading _‘Pacific Nightmare: A Third World War in the Far East’_ by Simon Winchester, a 1993 novel about the then future hand-over of Hong Kong to China going less than perfectly.

Just thought s/he may find it interesting 🙂
