Aluminum, the not-so-hot metal

i think alot of you have missed the point completely. on the foil is the chicken wings. do you think the chicken wings are at the temp of the oven? i think not or they would be chunks of carbon. the chicken wings will be taking heat from the foil.

also as others have said the foil is of pretty low mass, and if you consider you’re only touching a very small area of the foil the mass is extremely low.

Actually, as I said in the OP, the wings are on the paper which is on the foil.

And it may be a unique oven, but it’s still a convection (hot air) oven. It’s the hot air that cooks the food, not whatever they’re sitting on.

fair point about the paper but still the foil will not be at the temp of the oven if the chicken wings are on it. heat from the foil will travel to the oil which will dope the paper from the chicken wings, since the chicken wings are not hot to start with.
