Letting pass the poor english in your post (which I am hoping is on purpose), I will ask. In what part of Vermont do live? Because I lived there for 3 years (not being white myself), and having had service jobs, I never ran into anyone who would ask to talk to a white person instead of to me. (And ditto for my 2 years in Selma, Alabama, not being black either). Don’t try to weasel out if this saying your bias is a regional idiosyncrasy.
