I suspect I’m not the only poster who would like to take a look at Little Tassie’s handiwork under her previous incarnation in order to get familiar with her style and recognise her quickly in the future should she every return with a new identity. Yet when I ran the previous user name through search it came up blank - I got no hits no matter whether I used spaces, ran partial or exact, capitalised or didn’t. Would I be correct in assuming that she belongs to that special category of trolls whose threads get deleted in order to deprive them of any satisfaction from their activities? Or have I just not got the hang of using the SD search engine yet? ---

I was able to dig up seventeen threads using the last word of her former name (I’m assuming you’re using the one Lynn refered to), setting name match to “partial”, searching all open forums, for all dates. So I guess you ARE doing something wrong. 😉 ---

Reprise, she generally posts ONLY to MPSIMS, is very friendly, and she or one of her “family” quickly becomes ill or has an accident. Oddly enough, instead of spending time with the ill person, she’s able to spend lots of time on a message board, with people she barely knows. ---

Lynn, While I know that discussion of trolls is frowned upon, would it be worth condsidering having a “troll-spotters guide” (bad name, but it’s all I could come up with)…a locked thread, perhaps…where you have brief capsule descriptions of the M.O.s of the three or four walking hemmoroids that occasionally crop up, as you just did with “Little Tassie”? I know that it would give these trolls some of the attention that they crave, but it would also be a valuable resource for the TM, and perhaps the good outweights the bad. Some people (rightly) seem to be upset by this particular incident, and descriptions like I’m suggesting might help. Fenris ---

Morning, Fenris. Eh, dude, we discussed this a bunch a while back, and the consensus was that the results of putting these particular weeds out in the sun on the windowsill would be, overall, quite detrimental to the health of those posters who are allergic to the foul pollen their energetically proliferating blossoms would inevitably spew into the air. But I agree with you 100%–sure wish there was a database somewhere, something like the FBI’s fingerprint computer. [wistful sigh] ---
