How different we all are. When I have no creative outlet in my life, I start a project or seek out some problem to solve. Now, if only I could apply that energy to my work…

In fact, I even think the famous [Meyer-Briggs typology](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/INTP) has several categories of dreamers. Like the [INTP.](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/INTP)

> So, am I killing my husbands dreams? Or offering an useful reality check?

Yes you are killing his dreams. And no, he doesn’t need a reality check from you, that’s what everybody else is for. He needs you to care.

I did the computer game thing back in the '80s, working with my teenage son, and my wife ignored our efforts, and it really hurt. I could really have used some adult help on many things day to day. Packaging decisions, where to place ads, who to trust at the ad agency.

I also have enough words for my mystery novel, all on random chunks of paper in a big box. Still plan to finish it someday. Her only contribution was to mock my working title in front of several of our friends. I could have killed her. If I weren’t divorced I would still be pissed, but now it just comes like a wartime flashback when someone like you asks questions like this.

Short answer: True love is “You and me against the world”
