Also, how’d she catch on that he hadn’t read it? Really, how hard can it be to pretend you’ve read a chapter in a self help book?

> I can’t see getting that upset about a self-help book. If it’s that big of a deal they should go to couples counseling. Not ONE of them reading a book. What is she reading to improve herself, or does she think it’s all his fault?

She read the same book and then asked him to read it.

She does believe that it’s all his fault. I think it’s more like 80% him and 20% her.

She wanted to talk to him about the book and he told her he didn’t read anything that day.

Well, that’s fairer, then.

If she thinks it’s all his fault, though, she’s not going to get far.

Who decided on the book? Anyway, I really do not think that these types of problems can be solved without mediation. Counseling is not a waste of money (unless of course your spouse never shows up… which does happen).

What a shame, though. If he doesn’t see a problem and she thinks it’s ALL his fault… this can only end badly.
