Scary? Feh. When you regularly start getting/leaving bruises on/from friends due to biting each other, then I might think you an equally strange person. If you start pillaging cemeteries for munging victims, then I’d be scared if I was dead.

C’mon, folks, Euty’s asking an honest question here! IMHO–oops, sorry, wrong forum–the “mod” tag is just a label. What’s so different from “regs”, high-post count folks and BNFs at assorted Cons?
It isn’t _just_ warped humor; most have that. Or even demented erudition; plenty have that too. Or even a certain, offhand style, though come to think of it, seems there was mention of Euty is black leather…
Dunno, Euty. In the immortal words of the rock song, “my friends say I’m different; I haven’t changed…” Though you might want to give _serious_ (if evil) thought to the **Persephone and aha** “moderator whipped” thing.
Seriously…you’re a _seriously_ good, humane, funny, funky, down-to-earth person, **Euty** and the mod thing is just an extra responsiblity you took on in a weak moment.
Not that there’s anything against black leather, too,

Maybe it’s the “Eu” at the beginning of your name. Kind of an awe-inspiring vowel combination. Or something.
I’m always afraid to IM someone first, even people I know well. I just always assume I’m going to annoy or distract them and that whatever I have to say won’t be important enough to do that. Maybe it was the same sort of thing for the person who didn’t IM you.
Self-esteem issues? Me? Why do you ask?
