Good gravy, I’ve just woken up. I was half afraid to sleep, so just dragged around till six a.m. when I fell asleep on the couch. How’m I going to manage getting to my sister’s tomorrow? Can’t Christmas day be pushed back one more day? Thousand Island? It tastes like candy. Bad candy. That reminds me of To Kill a Mocking Bird when the little boy puts syrup on his food and Scout is mystified. This could only have been infinitely worse. Now to slowly get ready to go. Batten down hatches, pack all sorts of stuff and be sure I forget a couple things. The usual. ---

I’ve enjoyed a nice Christmas Eve-- Charlie Brown Special, virtual fireplace with scent provided by the neighbor’s chimenea, tracking Santa on NORAD, warm animals, and two presents showed up in my mailbox when I made one last desperate check! Now it’s bedtime so I can make the trek to my sis’s place for the Big Day. **Happy Happies to the MMP!** ---

I got an ultrasonic cleaner for Christmas! I’ve been running around the house all morning looking for random objects to put in it and see what happens. :D:p ---

Feeling slightly more humanoid today. The big bulky dressing is off, and it looks like someone tried to give me a Cuban necktie. At least they didn’t have to hack off too much facial hair - it looks more like I had hiccups while trimming. The two adjectives for today are stiff and achy. Oh, and amazing - I wasn’t expecting to have a free-range neck so soon. ---

I’m ho ho home!! Good food and good chat at my bro’s place, minor traffic slowdown on the way home, and I’m now comfortably in my fuzzy robe. My bro has a new kitchen - it’s purty! I simmered them for 15 minutes, and dumped ice on them as soon as I drained the hot water and added cold. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. What was weird was that in this carton of 18 eggs, only 8 or 9 peeled cleanly. Stoopit eggs! Anyway, day is done. I hope I can sleep tonight. My sweetie slept most of the day, which means he’ll be up most of the night. As long as he doesn’t wake me, that’s cool. One of my mom’s AARP friends send a sack of yarn to me - yay! 😃 So shortly, I will assume the knit position.
