# Am I the only facebooker who sorted their friends?

Looks like I’m using the traditional friends lists which are invisible to other people, rather than the fancy new featured friends thing from the new profile. I suspect most people will have this, as the new profiles have only been around a few weeks.

I honestly would not think it a good idea to let people know how I group them. Yes, some of the groups are obvious, but some are for convenience purposes, and not something I would want to share. (And I mean with anyone, not just with the person who sees.)

Then again, my profile is specifically set at the bare minimum. I don’t want Zuckerman knowing that much about me.

Here are mine:  
Everybody - Every person  
Family 0 family members  
OK 2 Gay - people I feel are comfortable with gay-related links or with knowing my sexuality  
[li] People I knew in college and/or the main college club I was a member of[/li]Under 18 - so I can censor stuff kids or their parents might not want to see  
artists - people I friended because i liked their creative works  
[li] people = people I friended because they are friends of my friend X[/li]entheo - people involved in psychedelics in one way or another  
excoworkers - people I used to work with and still have some interest in  
family friends - friends of family members  
festival people - people I met at various music festivals  
friends of friends - people I know through primary friendships  
games 20 - people who have sent me facebook games requests and therefore I feel justified in sending requests  
[li] - people who have lived in my shared housing as housemates in the past or present[/li]high school - people I went to highschool with  
[li] - people from a specific job[/li]io9 - people I friended because they appeared on [io9.com](http://io9.com) and seemed interesting  
[li] peeps - friend of specific friend[/li]livejournal - friends from my livejournal account  
local - people who live nearby  
not individual - accounts of corporate identities or other groups  
personal 20 - the top 20 (because facebook limits you to twenty people per note) people I would tag in notes  
public figures - people I friended who are public figures (wrote a book etc)  
random folks - people I friended because they were hot or I saw they were on a site that had a common interest, or they friended me and I accepted without knowing why)  
secret samadhi - Those friend allowed to see pictures of me that are not flattering in either ppearance or behavior  
theater/film - people I was involved with in theater productions or film productions  
vermont people - people I know in Vermont, a place I visit often  
wicca/[li] - people I know because of their Pagan proclivities[/li]wrestling & fighting - people I know because of their interest in wrestling or other fight based activities  
youth - people I knew/was close with in elementary school or earlier
