**Bottle Rocket** , one of my favorite movies of all time, only got two lousy stars from Roger Ebert. It’s especially strange, considering that I usually agree with the critics. It’s just barely “fresh” on the [Tomatometer](http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/BottleRocket-1071047/).

I agree. Mars Attacks was on telly the other day and a friend told me to watch it. “You’ll love it,” she said. “It’s _so_ bad, it’s good.”

And it was. I loved every crazy, stupid minute of it.

The critics actually gave the Bill & Ted movies fairly decent reviews, with the second one doing a bit worse. Excellent Adventure got 86% on Rotten Tomato, but Bogus Journey only snagged a 67%. I loved them equally. I think I actually liked the 2nd a bit more, so I guess that counts. What else. Well, I like Keanu Reeves. Does that count? Oh, and I have a weakness for crappy, showy action movies. I liked the Fast and the Furious, the Transporter, and XXX or whatever the hell it was called.

Saving Silverman. In my opinion, a very funny movie with the best performances from both Jack Black and Steve Zahn.

When I talked about it at work, I found that no one else had seen it. So I started loaning out my DVD and still no one else appreciated it.

I enjoyed Hudson Hawk more than most. I believe that it was marketed wrong and if we had known it was supposed to be campy going in, those of us who were expecting an action film would have been far less disappointed.

You are not alone. We just got this on DVD and the girl child has watched it more than I have. Not only is it funny, but it has the very hot Ornella Muti in it.

I also like a completely silly little movie called [Merlin, the Return](http://us.imdb.com/Title?0193318) with Adrian Paul, Tia Carrere and Rik Mayall (of Drop Dead Fred). The user comment on the IMDB is “Both Great and Horrid…”

Also on my list of Not Many People Will Watch Them With Me is: Joe Vs The Volcano, Hudson Hawk, Victor/Victoria, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Zorro: The Gay Blade, Hexed (Claudia Christian) and A Chorus of Disapproval (Jeremy Irons).

But I don’t know anyone personally that doesn’t like Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead.

I liked ‘The Frighteners.’ Flawed, yes, but ultimately I found it effective.

I thought ‘The Last Action Hero’ was hilarious, and, judging from the reviews, I was the only one.

_Dancer in the Dark_…I know some of the critics were enthralled with it, but no person I know–including my delightful husband who bravely bought it for me on DVD–actually likes the movie. I do. 🙂

</div>

I second **The Last Action Hero**. Arnold has been doing movies that get more and more tedious, ever since.

I nominate **Cable Guy** , which I think is hilarious, but not for the normal Jim Carrey reasons. I think it’s a very well made dark comedy and casting Carrey was perfect.

Also: **xXx**. I saw it as a parody. I think I was the only one.

The Postman. I really really liked The Postman. I think because in a way it reminds me of my father, who is in fact a Postman. Plus the whole idea of average people being made great by trying times.

Waterworld…that I didn’t like at all. But The Postman was cool.

And I don’t care who knows it!!!

Rah!

I have a couple.

**Lost in Space.** I actually got to liking “Joey” because of his effort in this flick.

**Batman and Robin.** I have young sons, so I’ve seen all of the Batman movies, and this one is by far my favorite and is by far the most panned.

I’m rather proud of the fact that I like no less than _thirteen_ movies on [imdb’s bottom 100 list](http://us.imdb.com/bottom_100_films)

**Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie
Mr. Nanny
Mortal Kombat: Annihilation
Mr. Magoo
RoboCop 3
Caddyshack II
Super Mario Bros
McHale’s Navy
The Stupids
Pet Sematary II
Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band** (yeah, I know, sue me!!)
\*\*Species II \*\*

Also, I loved **The Pest** , which everyone else seemed to think blew dogs.

Kung Pow: Enter the Fist. Sure, it gets out of hand at times, but usually it’s just so rediculous and stupid that it’s hilarious. “THATS ALOT OF NUTS!”

I’ll second _Cabin Boy_ (“This is how a hula girl dances!”), _Oscar_, _Mars Attacks_, _Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead_ (Which I refuse to consider a guilty pleasure. This is a good movie, period.), _Joe Vs. the Volcano_, _Alien 3_ (if it hadn’t been part of the Alien franchise, it would be considered a classic), _Zorro, the Gay Blade_ (I desperately need to own this movie), _The Frighteners_, and _The Last Action Hero_ (“I’m the comic relief!”).

Add to the list, _The Chase_, an absolutely stupid movie staring Charle Sheen as an escaped convict, _Hackers_, one of the better Hollywood attempts at cyberpunk starring Angelina Jolie, _Baseketball_, starring the creators of South Park and written by one of the creators of _Airplane!_, and the version of _Flash Gordon_ with the Queen soundtrack.

Hee hee. Kung Pow. My tadpole’s name is Tonguey.

At first I hated Krull, but it grew on me. 80s special effects, redheaded princess, razor-tipped bomerang, why not?

Powerpuff Girls. Critics hated it. I thought it was cool.

Oh, and both of the Charlie Sheen _Hot Shots_ movies. And the one with Emilio Estevez parodying _Lethal Weapon_… _Loaded Weapon_? And the garbageman movie they did together.

In fact, just about any bad movie starring one of Martin Sheen’s offspring is okay in my book.

And _Dude, Where’s My Car_ is laugh-so-hard-you-fall-on-your-ass funny.

And I just bought _Krull_ on DVD.

Perhaps my taste in movies isn’t as refined as I’d like to think.
