I had this discussion with my SO last night:

**SO** : You’re going to start your period soon.

**pbbth** : How do you know?

**SO** : You just screamed at the Wii Fit and called it a stupid asshole because you missed a jump.

**pbbth** : Yeah. I know. I try to keep the pre-menstrual rage contained but sometimes it sneaks out without my knowledge.

Log in and click the day when your period actually starts, and it’ll send you an email a couple of days before your next estimated period. It’ll also generate bar graphs and predict your ovulation and all kinds of fun stuff.

I’m due for my yearly girlyparts check next month, my doctor will be so impressed when I give her detailed dates for my period for the last 6 months. 😃

Very cool! We could use this right about now. Thanks for sharing!

I’m in the “do not menstruate anymore” category, but when I did, I only had a vague sense of when I would be starting, usually indicated by pain, like the OP. My boobs didn’t hurt, but I had fairly severe cramping, so when I started feeling the beginning of cramps, I knew within a couple of days I’d be starting.

That, and the spontaneous rage.

Gah! 2-3 days!? I’m on Seasonique, which is supposed to reduce the number of days you go, and I’m still around 8-9 days (which actually is less than I’ve been on other things). I asked my Gyn last time I was in about Yaz, since on their commercials they advertize shorter periods. She laughed at me.

Same here, my boobs are secretive, they don’t tell me anything.

Mine told me when I wasn’t on the pill, and continued to do so on one formulation of the pill. But when I switched to a different one, that went away.

Of all the pills I tried, Yaz was the absolute worst for me.

Short periods my ass. I never _stopped_ bleeding when I was on that pill. From spotting to heavy to spotting and back again before my period was supposed to be due.

It sucked. Seasonique was better.

Yeah, my Gyn basically said the same thing. After she stopped laughing, she was like, “In my experience, it, uh… doesn’t work as advertised, except on a very few people who probably were already having short periods.”

Mine too! I don’t really get breast pain with my period. Sometimes they seem a little bigger, but not so’s you’d notice, usually.

About a week before I got a postive test though, my boobs started hurting like a motherfucker, and were visibly bigger.

It’s so funny feeling extra bitchy, horny or creative and checking the calendar for that ‘A-ha!’ moment. What I’ll never understand is why some women’s breasts grow larger (and, some might say, more attractive) right around when they can’t conceive – and don’t want anyone touching them, anyway.
