If you like her acting, sure. If you like her personality, then I think you are in love with an illusion, but to each their own. I don’t know what it is, but something about her personality doesn’t fit with the many other stars that I think really come off as personable. I will point out that the vast majority of her “adorableness” is actually childishness. She doesn’t act like an adult that can take care of herself. If you’ve ever seen that HIMYM episode with the bubbly news anchor who steals Robin’s spotlight–that’s how she comes off to me. ---

That snippet boils down to “She plays up her strengths” which is the exact same advice anyone would get if they were asking “How can I make friends and get people to like me?”. Here it’s “inauthentic” even if “subconscious”. She seems amusing and fun though maybe it’d get old after a bit. I assume, despite the name, that the OP is a woman. It seems that every day in the mainstream media, in the women’s section of the paper, there is some article about how awesome, yet down to earth, Jennifer Lawrence is. I think I thought she was until it became so ubiquitous that I started to lose interest. ---

I don’t get what people mean when they say it’s “just” her persona. And that doesn’t just go for her, but any nice, cool celebrity. Do they think she’s some kind of sociopathic Machiavellian supergenius that’s secretly an evil closet bitch and acts cool only when someone might be watching? Sure, there’s image crafting going on, but everyone does a certain degree of public image crafting. I’m sure if you got to know her she’d have flaws and issues and offputting things about her like everyone else. I’m sure the real her isn’t exactly her interview persona. Yes, the media overblows her image to a mythical degree because that’s what the media does. But it’s not like you can’t be a complete insufferable jerk and still get work in Hollywood. If anything, the fact that she cares enough to even make the effort to be likable and be a good role model says something good about her. ---
