Can’t find an old thread. Holy Mary, Mother of God. Worst episode ever. That made South Park look like high brow entertainment. I only kept watching to see how many sexual double entendre’s they could fit in. Oh, it’s date night! Let’s go to Bangcock! We just need to go really hard to Bangkok! I need to drill in this thing. I admit I didn’t really notice any of the double entrendres. Guess I wasn’t paying close enough attention. I thought it was just a bit anticlimatic. I’m no fan of non-elimination legs, but why even have them if the next leg won’t give any chance for the team to catch up? The Roadblock seemed on the difficult side, and the majority of the time was spent either travelling or doing easy tasks. The only thing that seemed remotely difficult was finding the Pit Stop from the last clue. ---

Whatshername with the “you don’t listen to me/you’re in charge/no, this way”…yeesh. He could have dropped her in a khlong and I don’t think anyone would blame him. ---

Yeah, that was an uncharacteristically brutal Speed Bump. I know we complained about stuff like the “sit on a chair made of ice for 5 minutes” SB and the “sit in a mobile sauna for 5 minutes” SB and things like that, but this was overkill the other way. “Construct this elaborate and complex figurine out of a leaf just like this guy who’s been doing it all his life”? Wow. ---

You can tell how much I like a season when I miss an episode and frankly don’t care. C’mon, TAR, if you’re going to do a theme season at least have decent racing elements in it rather than concentrating on the theme. I think that’s part of the problem this season, tbh. ---

Yeesh. This episode was such an anti-climactic snooze that the Amazing Editors didn’t even bother pretending that Team New Kid had a chance. The long hiatus isn’t going to help whatever momentum this season has. I really didn’t notice much in the way of double entendre. Unless you think “Bangkok” itself is a double entendre. ---

I didn’t notice any of the so-called double entendres either… The episode was awful though. There was no question about who would be the last team. Even if they didn’t have the Speed Bump, Team New Kid was hours behind everyone else and none of those tasks gave them any chance to catch up. It sucks because I did like them, and from what I remember last week, they didn’t really do anything wrong, they just got the last flight (I forget why) and were dead from that moment on. ---

I seriously thought the hairdresser woman was going to hurl when eating the 1000 year old egg. Especially after she already had to choke one down when they were at the wrong place in the market. I was surprised the non-dating gay team got through the 1000 year old egg so quickly. Weren’t they the ones that had trouble eating a bowl of _noodles_? ---

As much as I dislike her, I equally dislike him. They both have horrible traits and they bring out the absolute worst in each other. I think the speedbump might have been fine had the last team been on the same flight as all the other teams. But there was no way for them to make up landing on the ground 2+ hours after all of the other teams. I think the airline drama into Thailand last leg really messed with the production plans. I’m not sure why they teams (except truck stop) all had the guys do that roadblock. They had powertools. It didn’t require strength, just meticulousness. I’d think that you’d save your physically stronger racer for the roadblocks that require physical strength. ---

Seemed the hardest part was finding the correct socket size. This episode was rather dull. I don’t think it was so much the teams but the stupid tasks. Put a snooker ball in to the pocket? At least make them play a full game to the correct rules or something. ---

Thinking of bailing on this season and trying again with the next one. I hardly paid attention while watching this and hate the theme of the blind date crap. The only good moments were the blond telling the doctor she can be in charge and then immediately telling him where they should go and the dark haired girl gagging on a regular egg like it was poison. ---

I personally don’t think the twist has really affected gameplay much. The blind dates don’t seem to conflict much more than any buddy teams in the past. Sure they are trying to play it up a bit but it’s a pretty straight forward season really. ---

I think some of the fighting seems more annoying to me knowing it is two strangers sniping at each other but that’s not really the main turn off, which is the creepy wink wink nudge nudge attitude they have had all season. Also it just seems like the leg design has been uninspired. We had a challenge this season that was, eat noodles. Another, pour milk and watch cats drink it.
