Woo hoo! And the Weiner Riesenrad is also the Ferris wheel that was in THE THIRD MAN! I hope at least one of the contestants remarks on that, I bet Phil will. But they might also be on the Blumenrad in Max Winter Park. It’s easy to tell which is which. ---

I automatically thought of it when I saw the previews, but for the life of me I couldn’t recall the title. All I could think of was, “Orson Welles…Ferris wheel…Vienna…” How cool would it be to eat a meal on whichever Ferris wheel it is? Mind you, I’m probably going to cringe at however long this eating task will be :erk: ---

I realized what Villa Trapp was just at the mention. **Supervenusfreak** and I were chortling that if we were on this race we’d be running up the driveway singing “Do-Re-Mi”… It would have been cool if the greeter had been something like Gretl’s daughter/granddaughter…I don’t even know how you’d find that out, though. ---

From what it looked like when they stopped at one point, they had one, but when they were on the snow-packed sidewalk and Kent was yelling “Ahhh ahh it’s gonna fall! It’s gonna faaaall!” and Vyxsin dropped the couch out of frustration, there’s no dolly to be seen. I think that they may have lost their dolly along the way. I’m just sad that this was a non-elimination leg. I’m so so so tired of Mallory and her self-righteous, self-promoting prayers. Hail Mary full of grace, help us win this race and get lots of money? I don’t think so. Ugh. Edited to add: Flighttime hit the deck on the stairs at the museum _hard_. I can’t imagine how he didn’t bruise his tailbone. ---

That really was a bullshit move to piss on the outside of an Austrian landmark like that. ## I would feel the same way about someone taking a leak on St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans, where Flight Time is from; show some class, asshole… ## Kynt is a whiny, loathsome bitch, and his “girlfriend” (yeah, right) is every bit as bad—Thank God they are too stupid to actually go all the way and win the Race. Finally, to me, the eating challenges are the worst thing about the entire Amazing Race, much more obnoxious that all of the product-placement ads (Ford, Snapple, Expedia, Hustler Video’s “Barely Legal-Anal Angels #18”, etc.) that have cropped up recently. ETA—I have generally thought that Flight Time has been a pretty decent all-around person from what I could tell, (he is clearly more intelligent and articulate than his teammate) and seeing him piss on the walls of a 400 year-old building, in a country that he is a guest in, really had me…😕 ---

A few observations: That Globetrotter should have been penalized. Nice job dude pissing on a historic building in broad daylight. That food they were eating looked yummy. That was the challenge I was born to do! 🙂 Why didn’t Phil narrate the scenes for next week? It sounded like someone else. ---

Based on a couple trips to Europe, I think public urination is not as big a deal as it would be back in the States. ---

Regardless, it’s not all that classy to do it. Especially on the National Library building. Do they normally make them drive such long distances when they get cars? Vienna-Salzburg is about 300 km, and this was in the winter to boot. Not a whole lot of stuff going on this round, other than Cowboys catching up luckily again. I haven’t thought much of their chances in the finals, but I do have to hand it to Zev & Justin for essentially completing a U-Turn and still winning.
