I mean, it looked to me like she was shifting OK, if a little roughly. And my husband-the-engineer says ethanol vehicles _sometimes_ handle differently than regular gas cars. Although, he could have just been being nice, because I kind of liked the Glamazons. I have to say, I did choke up a little when they were crying on the mat. At least they had a good time for a while. ---

Again, I don’t have a lot of time, so I’ll just chime in with my thought for this week’s episode. That sugar cane detour must have been a _bee-yotch_. Sugar cane is tough. How tough? When it’s time to harvest, and the field needs to be cleared of all the weeds and non-sugar-cane plants so the final product is not contaminated, _they just set the field on fire_. The full-grown sugar cane is impervious to it, and eveything else burns off. You can buy fresh cut sugar cane on Maui to suck on as a snack, and it’s at least as tough as really thick bamboo. So when I saw that they had to hand-crank sugar cane stalks through some teeny little pressing contraption, I thought “they’re going to be wishing had done ten waterfall rope climbs after finishing THAT.” ---
