I don’t post often, but when I do, the Dope delivers. Here, I found something icky in my canned salmon. My son was newly enamored of Reddit, so on his advice, I asked there what it might be, and was quickly downvoted to oblivion/totally ignored. I posted on the Dope and had an answer toot sweet. Thread: [What is this thing I found in a can of salmon? - Factual Questions - Straight Dope Message Board](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=643872) Also, I once asked the Northeastern Doper Contingent if it was worth it to save $400 on airfare (two tix) to fly into Baltimore for a family event in South Jersey. I won’t bother you with the thread, but several dopers came to my aid with specific driving directions that took me around, not through, the Philly traffic. You guys are AWESOME and no mistake. Hey, anyone remember the folks who did some awesome research to identify the origin of the “Oriental Riff”?
