While I love woot to death, I’m learned not to touch their refurbs. Yes, there’s every chance that you’ll get a great product that will never give you a problem out of a refurb, but after going oh-for-three, I’m done with that gamble. Toshiba DVD Recorder with HD Upconversion and HDMI Cable: Broken on arrival – door wouldn’t open. I was able to take it apart and fix it, however. Kodak EasyShare Z1275 12MP/720p Digital Camera w/5x Optical Zoom: Lasted about two months before dying. Compaq DX2000 Business Desktop: Power supply failure after four months. ---

Just made my first-ever woot purchase! Kodak 12 Megapixel Digital Camera with 5x Optical Zoom – different model than **Hal Briston** got, but yeah, it’s a refurb. But I’d been thinking about a new camera and I just couldn’t pass up that $50 price tag. We’ll see how it goes. How long does woot usually take to ship? ---

I considered that camera myself, until I found a dearth of reviews for it, and what reviews I found were at least 50/50 negative. ---

I don’t need professional quality and I don’t take tons of pictures. When I do carry a camera I want to stick it in my pocket and forget it’s there until I want to use it. This is cheap, small, and light, so I’m hoping it will fit that bill for me. ---

Yeah, we’ve already got a Canon SD450, I was looking for somethign with a little more zoom for some specific shots, but the pictures still needed to be usable. Didn’t sound like this was going to be it. ---
