# Amazon Echo...new Siri like device with a speaker

Son of a bitch! I was convinced that this was a dumb idea, as it’s redundant and I am rarely far from my phone or laptop or some other magical device which will tell me what time it is or whether it’s raining. My Android has a great list app, plays my music, and has a voice recognition mode. I have no use for it whatsoever.

Then I saw how it’s half price for a limited time and I feel like if I don’t order now I will be the saddest girl in grade number two. Can’t pass up a bargain like that!  
Stupid marketing people. Screw them.

You won’t be sorry. I’m having a blast with mine. I have an iPhone 6+ and everything else, but nothing beats not having to simply speak to get want I want or need. I don’t have to stop what I am doing. It’s like being the Captain on the Enterprise or having my own little HAL.

The updates are all through the software so it’s not like you will ever need to upgrade.

I can’t wait to see what Amazon manages to integrate a few years down the road.
