# Amazon & Gift Cards

I want to order something on Amazon, but I do not want to use a gift card at this time. Yet, when I place my order, there appears a $25 credit claiming to be a gift card…before I’ve entered any code. So, I figure I’m all right as long as I don’t eneter any code…but DAMN! I place the order, and sure enough they applied some $25 credit from somewhere.

Anyone know why this is and how to stop it?

Have you tried [contacting Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/contact-us/general-questions.html)? I’ve had to contact them twice and both times (one as recent as last month) I got a quick and complete response from a real person.
