Why will people once they state something argue for it even if they are wrong and know little on the subject that they are talking about? In [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=193009&goto=newpost) **ambushed** waxes on a subject he knows very little about. I don’t claim to be an expert (there are other posters such as **Chronos** , **Ring** , **Q.E.D.** and newbie **amore ac studio** who are more knowledgable on this subject than me but I have had formal education in this area so when I point out what he is saying is crap he launches into a tirade against me. I know, I tried to put bile in it, but obviously not enough 🙂 It seems that **ambushed** , has done a disappearing act. It just bugs me that he has the cheek to call me a “neophyte”, when he’s not even remotely knowledgable on the subject. ---

I don’t know the least bit about the subject being discussed - I tried to read the thread and my eyes glazed over. 🙂 It did appear to be a stunning display of sheer blowhard-ness on the Pitted one’s part, though.
