Nonsense. Bush and his neocons thought everybody would throw flowers and kisses, not bullets and IEDs. I expect they believed we’d be in Iran or Syria ( or both ) by now. As far as I can tell, they didn’t consider anything; they just decided what was going to happen, and were quite surprised when mere reality declined to obey.
