# America needs to address its gun hypocrisy

I would bet that there hasn’t been a murder or robbery with a long barreled 3 shot shotgun in several years.

Personally, I’m ok around with gun deaths (non suicide division) around the [30-40k](https://www.nhtsa.gov/traffic-deaths-decreased-2018-still-36560-people-died#:~:text=36%2C560%20people%20were%20killed%20in,a%202.4%25%20decrease%20from%202017&text=The%20decrease%20in%20traffic%20deaths,VMT%20decreased%20by%20over%203%25.) per year. ETA- that’s about 3x where we are now.
