# "America Works" : It's been tried.  Could it be made to work?

For me, wanting to limit the government’s access to my information comes naturally. The OP seems to envision a system where all employment applications go through this government-run portal. The potential for abuse would be huge.

Long term, it’s pointless. Automation will replace almost all human labor in 30-50 years. We’ll be hurting long before then.
