# American actors appearing in UK television commericials

From last summer he was ubiquitous in the ad breaks in Britain advertising BT’s internet services. At the time this prompted me to comment that he would be perfect casting as Trump. That was well before _Saturday Night Live_ spotted that too.

BT has snagged a lot of stars in recent years (which suggests to me they’re making far too much money off their customers, tbh): Jeremy Renner, Ryan Reynolds, Willem Dafoe, Ewan McGregor, Alec Baldwin…I’ve forgotten the whole list. Likewise Sky Broadband has nabbed the likes of Bruce Willis and Al Pacino for their ads.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has been advertising a price comparison website featuring talking meerkats, plus some wargame app. Nicole Kidman has done the meerkat thing too. _Everyone_ is doing or has done perfume ads - Kidman, Keira Knightly, Natalie Portman, Julia Roberts, Charlize Theron etc.

But the best of the lot has to be Sylvester Stallone’s commercial for [Warburton’s bread](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2N_TVdrhTI). Just sit back and enjoy that one - it’s worth a watch.

That was some goofy fun. I liked the part where he jumped into the wrong side of the truck, probably because I’ve come close doing that a dozen times.
