Isn’t this sort of a push like STEM? But with a renewable energy angle? Considering that most car manufacturers are trying to go electric, that’s a start. BUT we have to have to have people that have the skills not only to provide the clean(er) electricity, but design the infrastructure and transportation to make it all work. Along with a zillion other things.
They have an NBC story about this today. It sounds like it’s going to be online sessions where they talk about environmental activism. The nonprofit SEI backing it with the feds has a website but it looks it’s talk with some token action. I hope the college graduates who apply for fellowships find it worthwhile.
Well, the response arrived after a while. I just got the E-mail notification that one may now apply to join the America Climate Corps (The link is to the American Climate Corps application site.) Apparently, there are now 273 openings.
