> I felt like I missed an episode. It seemed like, last week, Ax Man is revived, leaves the witch house and goes to the bar where he hooks up with Jessica Lange on the same night. Yet this week, he’s found a place to live and murdered someone (possibly the previous tenant?) at some point.

I think he murdered the tenant to take his apartment.

That’s my fear. She’s so talented; _Precious_ wasn’t just a case of “unknown actress stars in horribly depressing movie so let’s give her awards!”, she really was great in it and she’s a very good comic actress, and seems really bright on talk shows, but… damn. If she won’t diet it off I wish she’d get an operation, because we’re not talking “conforming to beauty standards” but “she’s going to be in a wheelchair by 40 if she doesn’t make some radical changes”. Her arms make me want to cry.

OTOH, there’s no possible way she doesn’t know this or that her doctor hasn’t told her, so, as with an addict, what can ya do?

Agreed that the three-way scene was kind of hot albeit in a weird way.

Agreed. In both age and orientation, the writers made the character a fan of music the writers would have been into, not the character. It was very jarring.

Yeah, I thought so also. Journey, Rick Springfield, or Duran Duran would have been plausibly hipster-ironic. Or Barry Manilow. Or Dolly Parton.

But not Toto.

I watched the episode again last night and I really have to give major kudos to Kathy Bates. For her to invoke pity in my mind when she was sold out after all the horrible crimes she’s done, is just amazing. I really felt bad for her.

Gabourey Sidibe is not going to get many, many roles because she isn’t that talented, IMO.

The Axeman is great to watch and is a great addition to the cast/story line. Does Jessica Lang now have a new and dangerous ally?

Killing Kathy Bates would be a shame. But since she’s immortal, can she be killed? I’m guessing she’s in for a very bad time but she’s not dead. Agree that only Kathy Bates could act well enough to make you feel sympathy for her character.

The threesome was dumb and puerile. But at least it put an end to the Fratenstein’s constant boobing and thrashing around - gah, that was irritating.

You do realize you are almost complementing the show, yes :p? I mean c’mon - this is the trashiest of trashy TV. The living and breathing definition of a guilty pleasure. I like it for what it is, but ridiculously silly depths of moral turpitude is one of its raisons d’être.

Speaking of witch (see what I did there?), I loved Fiona’s light show with the Axeman. The only way it could have been better is if they’d had geysers coming up from all of the drains and toilets.

Yes, you can tell she’s actually remorseful and really started feeling friendship for Queenie, the the look of utter betrayal when she got sold out. Great acting by Ms. Bates.

Don’t the writers of this show know that there’s a real company called Delphi? I know someone who used to work there, and no he wasn’t a witchhunter.

What about the lawyers? Usually their lawyers won’t let them call a fake evil company the same thing as a real company is named.

There’s dozens and dozens of different companies with “Delphi” in their name. I think it would be difficult for any one of them to make a claim that this show had damaged their brand specifically.

I’m seeing Papa Legba being a popular costume at DragonCon next year. (I think Angela Bassett has a similar arrangement with him to Marie Laveau’s to look that damned hot at 55; she probably just gives him big gift cards for Bass Pro Shop and Olive Garden rather than babies since she’s not centuries old, but it’s working.)

I wonder if we’ve seen the end of Jamie and Queenie. With resurrection always a possibility (though the main contracter seems to be in a coffin at the moment) it makes it difficult to know when goodbye is goodbye.

Mme. Lalaurie is a head across town. I do hope when we see her again we’ll find she wasn’t changed by the civil rights footage. (She killed slaves for sport and spite and tortured her own daughters- I really don’t think gospel music is gonna do it.)

Drugs and cigarettes haven’t aided Stevie’s voice, I fear.

I don’t know why, but for me the most shocking line in the entire three seasons so far is uncontested: “You left your dirt in the bowl.”

This season gets more and more hilarious 🙂

The coven is introduced in episode one as a bastion of female strength and integrity, they crap on about the importance of solidarity etc etc and then all they do is fight, bitch, plot, and murder each other. Fantastic stuff 😃

I’m surprised there haven’t been formal complaints from actual witches.

Love [this](http://www.tv.com/shows/american-horror-story/community/post/american-horror-story-protect-the-coven-review-photo-recap-season-3-episode-11-138981878748/) screen-capped review of episode 11 just past. WARNING TOTAL SPOILERS.

The thing I really like about this season is the story arc.

The first season ended and then continued with 2 more unneeded episodes (IMO).

The second season should have ended when she got out of the asylum but then didn’t.

This one seems to have had some conflicts resolve along the way, but the determination of who the next supreme is feels like the whole story arc and feels more story-like.

Agreed. I feel like this season is more cohesive (and coherent) than the first two. Asylum was awesome, but cramming Nazis, zombies, aliens, demonic possession, _and_ two generations of old-fashioned serial killer into thirteen episodes got a little chaotic.

I don’t think Marie Laveau’s sins were on a par with Madam LaLaurie’s. The latter deserves hell to a far greater extent than the former. I think it’s unfair.

LaLaurie tortured and murdered, by her own admission, about sixty or so of her slaves.

Laveau’s been murdering an infant once a year for at least a hundred and fifty years, give or take.

LaLaurie might deserve hell _more_, but Laveau certainly deserves it too.

Anyway, Laveau’s still getting better treatment, despite her sins. At least she’s holding the poker.

I’m confused. Weren’t both those characters supposed to be immortal? Don’t you have to die to go to hell?
