My sister and I used to sing that song as a duet, endlessly. It’s really hard to do it as a solo. I’m with Simon – not as good as last week, but solid and right down the middle. Certainly enough to get Jason the votes to come back next week. Not that he needs to do much except smile and blush for all the tweens and grandmas to wear their little fingers to the bone dialing for him. ---

I like Jason. He’s one of the two people on this show who I feel are real musicians who connect with the music and aren’t all polished and pageanty. Mind you, the latter will end up winning because of the tween voters, but I think Jason has the potential to have a good career nonetheless. So, what are the chances that Archuleta gets “Yesterday”? ---

The bar is set so high on “Come Together.” The Beatles’ original is great. Aerosmith’s cover is transcendent. Joe Cocker has a version on _Across the Universe_ that is quickly becoming my favorite. Carly is just shrieking COME TOGEAAA!! And of course the judges jerk off to it. Why do they so love this chick?? ---

I wish Carly would cover that filth on her arm. Cool song choice. Vocals are kind of shrill and irritating. She’s nowhere near as good as she thinks she is. What is she even doing on this show? I thought it was AMERICAN Idol, not Irish Idol. ---

I was wondering how Carly was going to do the chorus of “Come Together” when she sang the verses so high. I was right. That was awful. A bit lower and it would have been great. ---

Thanks. Sounds like, except for “She’s A Woman”, the song choices have been fairly uninspired (I knew someone on _Idol_ would do “Got To Get You Into My Life”, mostly because of the EW&F arrangement). If anybody selects “She Said She Said” or “Tomorrow Never Knows”, though, they should win by default. ---
