Thank god for my DVR so that I didn’t have to sit through all the filler tonight, especially those two losers from last year. I’m hoping Tatiana makes it through tonight, but if she doesn’t I’ll bet she becomes a judges’ pick for the final 12. ---

Well, this group was a wash. Not one interesting or even likable person got through. What is it that teeny boppers like about these “worship leader,” Contemporary Christian, church music douchebags like Gokey and that utterly personality-free oil rig worker. I think Deadwife is actually more of a narcissistic scumbag than Tatiana. I feel like I’m the only one who can see it. Everything about him seems phony to me. Even his grief on that first episode seemed acted. ---

Man this Gokey kid needs an ass-kicking. He’s probably going to win the whole thing too. WTF is wrong with people that they can be so easily manipuated by a tool like this? I can still hope for Tatiana as a Wildcard, I guess. And we still have Norman Gentle. Our VFTW in the bullpen. ---

Glad to see Tatiana gone. No matter how good a voice, you can’t be the Idol if people just despise you, and she attracts hate like bees do honey. I like oil rig guy and Danny. Both seem like standup guys. ---

Thank god for the Dope, since my stupid-ass boyfriend fucking accidentally erased the fucking show. :mad: Oh, I guess I’ll forgive him, he IS making me dinner as pennance, plus I get to miss the idiocy and get right to the 411, which you all so helpfully provided. So, DialIdol seems accurate yet again. I checked last night and was hoping that they would be wrong, but the results were pretty definitive. Damn. I too am crossing my fingers for Anoop as the wild card (but secretly hoping for Tatiana as well). **Dio** , I’m with you on Gokey. He’s been annoying since the first audition show, I hate that Christian-rock-singer thing. They are all **exactly the same**. It’s like they built him from an off the rack worship-leader kit. Sure he can sing, but he’s sooooooo boooooooring. Ricky Braddy was almost too polished, but at least he seemed genuine. I’d much rather watch him sing every week. Sigh. ---

Did anyone else think Sarver was going to puke after the announcement? I think it’s a toss-up between Anoop and Ricky as the wild card. The format this year really screws people like Ricky who got no previous face time. In previous seasons, he would have been the out-of-nowhere talent, like Elliiot Yamin, or Jason Castro from last year. But with this format, he couldn’t compete with the ones who already had fanbases coming in. ---

Country Guy, eh? I know that somebody mentioned the power of teenage girls- but I think this has more to do with the power of Country Music… given that country fans only ever really have one person to vote for on a given show… they have a built in advantage. I know Anoop has a lot of fans from his pre-America Votes shows… and people wanted Tatiana because she’s a nutcase… but honestly, Anoop was not that good last night people. I definitely didn’t think he was the top guy. Danny’s performance, especially in comparison to he rest of the trash that went up there last night, was definitely in a different level than everybody else. Also- why is there an insistence on blaming the show for the people who make the final 12 when your own favorite didn’t make it? Shouldn’t you be blaming the shows viewers?
