Simon cannot abide any kind of independent creative spark in his little monkeys. I can tell he doesn’t like it if they can even play an instrument reasonably well. He would have hated Jimi Hendrix. ---

She doesn’t know what “dark horse” means? Ok, so Siobahn is stupid. Maybe she’ll be another Pickler. Voice sounds ok. A little yodelly. Basically just more karaoke. Is “glassblower’s apprentice” a real job, or is that some kind of, like, Ren Faire thing or something? ---

I’m four singers in so far, and the only one I’d stop and listen to is Lily. I really liked her take on ‘Fixing a hole’. Like the judges said, she actually sounds like she has her own voice. The first three can just home home now. I can barely even remember their names. Dio: When Janell was singing, I turned to my wife and said, “That sounds exactly like what you’d hear at karaoke night in a bar. A bit awkward, reasonably okay in pitch, but totally amateurish otherwise.” I see you had the same impression. Maybe it’s just nerves, but these girls so far have been bad to mediocre. ---

I think Siobahn was ok, but not _that_ good. There’s just a really low bar tonight. Anyone who stays in key sounds good. ---

I wish Bowersox wouldn’t keep using her kid every chance she gets. Not a fan of the song choice either, and that around the neck harmonica thing is really obnoxious and affected. She sounded good. Best of the night. But I don’t care at all for her personality. ---
