My God, Paula just made a “Kashmir” reference too. What are the odds? Did I cross wavelengths with her just for a second? That’s a terrifying thought. Simon is completely wrong and full of crap and doesn’t know what he’s talking about because he doesn’t actually know anything about music. All that he knows is that he doesn’t have the slightest idea how to market something like that, so it makes his mercenary little brain go haywire. ---

I think Randy Travis looks like EX-senator Norm Coleman. All teeth and ears. Also, both of them are probably gay and their wives are beards, but that’s another thread. ---

This is one of Scott’s better performances, but I still don’t think he’s a very _intersting_ performer. He seems like a nice guy, but he bores me, and the patronizing comments get really annoying. Hey, Paula, did Ray Charles get up from the piano and tapdance? Did that make him less of a showman? Does Stevie Wonder strut around like Mick Jagger? What the hell? Paula is an idiot. ---

I loved Adam and I loved his refusal to pay homage to country music. I find him impossible to look at, but he is far better than anyone else this year. Its no surprise he comes from theater. I think he spends as much time figuring out where the cameras are placed as he does memorizing the words. ---

I (reluctantly) liked Adam’s performance more than Lil’s. She seemed to try to sing it as it was originally sung and he did something different with it. ---
