Tonight, the remaining contestants perform for two hours. The second night, three finalists are picked, and on the third night, the judges’ favorites compete to move forward. ---

Judges favorites? [cynical] or Producers/Sponsors favorites? (or is it the same thing?) Is this an avenue for TPTB to get train wreck contestants like Tatiana in the final 12? [\cynical] I thought wildcards would be the three contestants with the most votes that didn’t get in during the semi-finals. I guess not. ---

I think Anoop will get a wild card nod, at least I hope so. Unfortunatly idoubt my favorite, Norman Gentle, will. ---

I’m nervous for Blind Guy. He won’t have his piano, his movements will probably be a little awkward…and at one point during Hollywood week, he was sounding kinda not that great… ---

Thus far, I’d say that Anoop _should_ be the biggest lock for a Wild Card spot. He’s far and away the best singer not to make it to the Top 12. That said, Tatiana _is_ the biggest lock for a Wild Card spot. She’s a good singer, and she brings a ton of crazy to the table – just the kind of thing the producers want. The only way they don’t both make it to the Top 12 is if they toss in a rule where one reject from each of the groups has to be named a Wild Card. ---

Plus everyone gets to rehearse and sing with a full band accompanent. ---

Is it just me, or are there sound problems for this first guy, Von? A lot of breath artifacts and distortion in the mic channel? Oh, and he’s horrendously cheesy. Maybe he can be a Rick Astley impersonator. ---

Yeah, I’m not crazy. The audio is horrible tonight. A combination of the mic being too sensitive and the singers screaming into it from half and inch away. ---

Damn, I wanted dorky Alex to be good. So much for that. He has all the personality of a loaf of wonderbread, despite trying so (too) hard. That was really painfully bad, and didn’t help that he chose a very insipid Elton John song. ---
