While I don’t disagree with the choice tonight, I always liked Ashthon (except for that stupid extra H). She’s not the best singer (by far!), but there was something about her that I always thought was just really cool and fun. Some of the other people irritate me a lot more, even though they are better singers. ---

I think it’s hysterical that they don’t even bother to hide how little they care about their own competition. I mean, who needs to focus on the small-town amateurs when they could use that precious prime-time, 18-35 year-old focused hour to promote “Little Red Riding Hood”? What used to be an emotional, tension-filled night morphed into a showcase for OTHER artists, followed by a rushed, disjointed, “Oh yeah, the rest of you on the couch are safe, too.” :rolleyes: ---

Ashthon screwed up by taking on a song that was far beyond her abilities. Trying to do it again for a save was useless. ---

To save such a marginal contestant twice would have been foolhardy. So I honestly don’t think it mattered what she sang; she was going home.
