Holy crap! That’s Prince aka the Artist Formerly Known as Prince aka Prince. He was announced earlier in the season as on the weekly guest stars but he backed out. Glad to see him there. It’s a great endorsement of the show. That boy has talent, even though he’s odder than a one-eyed duck. ---

Just watched it. The Bacharachanalia was interesting- I could have sworn Chris would sing _What’s New Pussycat!_ (in such a way that it would sound like _Lightning Crashes_) and This Season’s Hobbit would have _I’ll Never Fall in Love Again_, which I have to say The Pickler did a good job reinterpreting. Is Taylor the first winner who Simon (or for that matter any of the stooges) passed on at the audition? ---

Anybody else think that Seacrest looks like a littler version of Hasselhoff. I bet they’re like russian nesting dolls. You open up Hasselhoff and a smaller version (Seacrest) comes out. And if you open up Seacrest, candy comes out…candy and rainbows. Okay. Maybe not. But I much prefer my delusion to another smaller Hasselcrest. I never thought Taylor would make it. I knew he was good, but he just seemed so different from the typical Idol.
