I wasn’t a huge fan of Syesha’s “Proud Mary.” If you weren’t looking at the television while she was doing it and just listening to the vocals, it was pedestrian at best. Looking at her, though…she was gorgeous, and the dancing was awesome, so that made it a bit better. ---

Just saw the spoilers. What predictable choices for David A. I wish someone would have picked something really edgy, though. I’d love to see someone on AI doing “Heroin” by the Velvet Underground or “God save the Queen” by the Sex Pistols. ---

Great idea to do Marley (if a little on the nose for Castro), but he should have gone a little deeper into the catalogue. He probably would have done better with something like “Redemption Song” or “Three Little Birds.” ---

Come on, Simon, it wasn’t “atrocious.” Sanjaya doing the Kinks was atrocious. Castro’s performance was just kind of bland and mediocre. ---

I may be alone, but I didn’t think Jason missed by a bit. I thought it was awful. One of the worst performances I have ever seen at this stage of the competition. ---

Excellent choice for little David. He got to warble his pretty lil self all over, and he looked a little more comfortable moving (ok, not much, but he did move this time) and playing to the audience. ---

I guess it’s cool to change up the arrangements, but I think David A would have been much better served by something closer to the original. However, I still think he won the first round. Waiting for something to sweep me off my feet in the next set. ---

That falsetto note at the end of Imp David’s performance was utterly vomitous. It made me pine for Ace Young. And what the hell did he do with the end of that song? ---

I have to keep reminding myself that performance was _top 4_!
