I’ve decided that I really hate the AI house band–they suck the life out of every song with horrific arrangements. I thought Taylor was a bit better than Chris, simply because he had a better arrangement to work with. Chris did a good job but the soul of the song was gone because they chopped down the slow bridge. Suspicious Minds is possibly my favorite Elvis song so I’m pissed they wrecked it. ---

1. Was that Bono? 2. More seriously, was that lip-synched? I was surprised there was no distinguishable change in sound when Chris repeatedly bobbled the mike in front of him. Or is that a mere prop and the microphones are hanging from above? ---

I’m not a big Elvis fan, and I’ve never heard the song Elliott is doing. If Elvis sang it in that style, I can understand why I’ve never heard it. Another good singing performance, but I just don’t care to hear anymore from Elliott. ---

I’m sorry, but every song Elliot sings sounds exactly the same to me. I know a lot of people really like him but I just don’t get it. He bores me even more than Katharine. ---

I basically agree with Simon on Taylor’s song. He did a very good job, but he still sounded too much like he was trying to do Elvis. Not my thing at all. Chris was great (sunglasses aside). I’d love for him to run his hands up and down me like he did that mike stand! I can’t wait to watch that performance again. My mom, who isn’t a fan of Chris, was even really impressed. Some beautiful moments in there. Get rid of the glasses and he’d have been awesome. I love Elliott. I think he had a kinda rough start, but then he moved into it gorgeously. He gets cuter and cuter, and seems to be really evolving, as Ryan said, into a great singer and performer. Work out a few more kinks and he’d be about perfect. ---

Did they say the title of Elliott’s song? I don’t recognize it _at all_, and I’m a pretty big fan of Elvis. Well, _I_ think I am, anyway. I love how “Hound Dog” is a signature song for Elvis, and when I hear it, I can only think of Big Mama Thornton. Heh. And Kat is as far from Big Mama _anything_ as you can get. This arrangement is _weird_ – that transition was _way_ awkward. I didn’t like it. ---

Overall I liked Kat’s performance. But then again there were so many sub-par parts of it. I just don’t even know how to judge it. ---
