I’m getting the idea that Tommy Mottola is lining up his next young diva bride. Kat’s eye-fucking the camera is bugging me, and strutting around so you run out of breath is not the way to come across. I know she was trying for showstopper but it did look like an amateur audition as Simon said. And I agree that it’s getting annoying that Simon gets booed and cut off; I usually agree with him but even so it’s rude. Although I just heard that he gets $36 million a season so I guess I don’t feel too bad! I liked Chris on ALLC just because he pulled off some of those fun lyrics, but I’m biased. I’m starting to think an Elliot/Taylor finale would be fun–Revenge of the Unconventional Looks! ---

I thought Taylor’s version was better than the original. Probably because I despise the original. (That high-pitched “In the Ghet-tooooooo” just f-ing kills me.) Chris: Great job on the first song. I thought the second was a bit blah, but he picked it up at the end. Though he made a good point: “I sang it that way it was written.” My husband agreed. He sang it the way the song is supposed to sound. Kat could learn a thing or two from that. Elliott: I love Elliott. He’s just such a cool, hard-working guy. You could tell he busted his butt this week, and sang both songs really well, though Tommy Mottola didn’t seem impressed. Screw you, Tommy Mottola. Kat: Dear Kat, it wouldn’t kill you to sing the actual song once in a while and not sing all over the place. That’s exactly what she did on her second song. She puked all over it, and it’s a great song. The first performance was just stupid. I predict Kat and Tommy Mottola will be getting married within the next year. ---

My wife and I must be love-deaf. We thought Katherine did fine on both songs. Having said that, DialIdol is predicting either her or Chris to go. ---

I was beginning to think I imagined it. If Chris goes, I really think I am done with the show - at least the voting and results show. It won’t be the first time someone deserving to be in the finals went 4th, but there’s no one left I really care about seeing win. I like Taylor but not enough to stick around and vote for him. It looks like he’s got it in the bag anyway. Kat is the one who deserves to go for the worst performances of the night. ---
