That dress looks good on her. No Mandisa-in-jeans styling this year? I have a 3 year old daughter, and I’m damn close to bawling my eyes out watching that performance and thinking of her little girl. Darn you, American Idol. Can we send all the males home tomorrow? ---

Re: Melinda’s no neck: yeah it is weird! I knew there was something. Also, she has a HUGE head… when she’s standing next to Ryan, check out the size of their heads next to each other. Really great voice, though. ---

LaKisha’s move took guts, and it paid off big time. Anything less than a great performance would have invited unflattering comparisons to Jennifer Hudson. But she pulled it off, and it was spectacular! I’m having a hard time picking just a few favorites this time. I’m pretty sure we’ll see Amy and Alaina leave, though. They just didn’t stand out tonight. ---

Melinda, Melinda, Melinda What a great set of pipes and her voice is so versatile that she will **blow it out** in any style of singing that’s demanded of her. Contrast her voice with Lakisha’s who’s style is to belt it out ala Baptist church choir. Not my cup o’ tea. All the guys are rank amateurs in comparison. ---

LaKisha and Melinda were the best of the night. I will also add that I chuckled to myself everytime they showed the guys. Chris S. was almost always looking directly at the judges instead of the singer. I guess he was trying to read their reactions to the performance. ---
