Crystal owned the whole night. I did not care for the arrangement on the U2 song. It was already a challenge, and the restructuring just made it too hard for Lee. ---

If they haven’t changed the procedure by now, something like Lee’s inevitible victory\* isn’t going to change anything. Besides, what _could_ they change? The only realistic option is “one vote per phone”, but then they couldn’t play their “you put in 18 bazillion votes last night!!” game. Not gonna happen. \*BTW, who called this win back at the Top 24 stage? Yeah, say my name, bitches. ---

What’s popular, not what YOU like (the generic ‘you’, not anyone in particular). Mopey dudes and dudettes with their hair in their eyes being all angsty is very popular these days. That silly shit gets a whole lot of votes because of that. I don’t like it at all. I like big voiced, soulful and funky. Not so popular with many. Really despised by a few. I doubt we’ll ever get another Jennifer Hudson and I’m convinced we’ll get a ton more Cooks and Lamberts, yet I don’t think there is something wrong with the show. The show still could be broken NOW, though. I don’t know what it would be without Simon. ---
