Yuck. Crap song, but I think LaKisha sang it well. I liked seeing a more smoky side of her. Randy, naw man. Don’t encourage her to add runs to every song. ---

Don’t like LaKisha’s song – Lulu was dead to rights, there – but _Lawd a’mighty_, LaKisha looks eleventy kinds of _faaaaaaaaabulous_. That dress is _great_. (And I’m not just saying that because I have it in red and black and I got _lots_ of free drinks at the company Christmas party because of it.) ---

When I hear “Tobacco Road,” I can’t help thinking of the David Lee Roth version with Steve Vai on the guitar. I don’t like this, but I have a personal aversion to Stacey that clouds my judgement. I will say that it’s an easy song to sing and really a pretty safe choice. ---

LaKisha did a nice job with the song, but it was not the right song. It’s such a shallow, impersonal song. It’s not a bad song, but it’s not more than a theme song, to me. Edited to add: How many song times can I song say the word song? ---

Hmm … Is Jordin _human_? There is something very strange and preternatural about her, like she wants to reach through my television and gnaw on my soul. Is it because she’s like 11 feet tall? She did a good job, but … that song was _so sad_. There really _is_ an air of garment-rending about that song. ---

None of this stupid smiling during sad songs, she was definitely in it. Very impressive.
