Stephanie _always_ sounds like Beyoncé. And _we already have one of those_ – although, I prefer the non-weave on Stephanie to the wrecked wig on Beyoncé. _BUT ANYWAY._ I like Stephanie’s dress; it looks like one the actual 1970’s dresses that Diana Ross herself might have worn. Not crazy about this song, or this performance, _or Stephanie, frankly_. She sounds like the lead singer in a wedding band (no offense to LaToya London intended). _Am I really this old?_ SIDE NOTE: I prefer Donna Summer’s greatest disco hits to Diana Ross’s. Am I a bad person? ---

Huh? Stephanie was a non-entity. I don’t thinks she was bad-- she was. . . nothing. I remember Haley better and Stephanie just finished. Oh and you can see her booby! Which would have went well with the sexy moaning from the original song, which Stephanie didn’t do. ---

Oh, _jumping Jesus on a pogo stick_, Chris’s outfit is _terrible_. I can’t even hear him singing because this horrific white jacket has made me so blind, I’ve gone deaf. And the tie is just dumb. ---

I have a certain amount of respect for a few of these competitors now. It had to be hard for Chris to hear that. I mean, millions of people are watching and someone is telling you that you suck (even if he did). That’s not easy and he handled it pretty well. I have no doubt he’s going to go into his hotel room and swear a blue streak, but he kept his composure on stage. That’s something. ---

Stephanie did an OK performance, I think. I’m feeling lost because I don’t know the original song so I can’t understand what the judges are nattering on about. Sigh. Chris R.: **Diogenes** , you are right. That was the \*ne plus ultra \*of boybandishness. I halfway expected him to do an encore of “The Right Stuff”. ---

Oooooh … Jordin doesn’t sound as good as I had hoped. And I hope she doesn’t read this, because she’s about eight feet tall and she can obviously kick my lily-white ass. OK, wait. Randy _liked_ it? _Am I on crack?_ Why aren’t I _enjoying_ it? Hmm … Simon liked it too. I’m the odd man out, I guess. But I didn’t like it. I do like her dress, though. And watching the playbacks: Sligh needs some Frizz-Eaze, and I need to go on a diet, because Gina looks _killer_ in those pants. I want to wear leather pants! ---

Well done Jordan, That wasn’t immaculate but it was a good shot better than everyone except maybe Melinda and LaKisha and it wasn’t that far off them. ---

I’m amazed that Jordin got that much love from the judges. I thought she was really shaky and searching for pitch in places. It was from “Land Before Time”, a non-Disney animated feature about dinosaurs. ---

As good as Melinda and LaKisha, maybe not, but certainly one of the best of the night. ---

I really enjoyed Jordin’s performance. It was very well-suited to the song, and her voice was strong. If someone doesn’t like theme songs or Disneyish tunes, I guess it wouldn’t work for them. But I love animated movies and their music in general, so it worked for me. ---
