Ok, according to the admin interface the following still need to put their picks before 8:00 Eastern tonight: Blue Mood, DudleyGarrett, Kolak of Twilo, Millit the Frail, Rebo, even sven and wvmom.
However, the admin interface only shows me if someone put their weekly picks in. So for everyone else, if you haven’t put your overall pick in, then go click on the “Overall Pick” link and choose who you think will be the eventual American Idol Season 8 winner.
Well, strategies are going to have to change – I, like many others, put all my points on Danny and got the fat payoff. However, I guess the folks who run the pool wanted to toss a wrench in the works, so they changed the rules:
For these next three weeks (until we have the Top 12 set), you can only put a maximum of seven points on any one person.
I’m ticked, because it’s not really hard to pick one person who is a lock to go through and put all 20 points on them in an “all or nothing” play – I was fully expecting to hit the Top 12 with 80+ points. However, this will definitely introduce more of a strategy element into the next few weeks.
Go to the “Results” page, and then click “Voting Details: Girls” and/or “Voting Details: Guys”. This gives a breakdown of who assigned how many points to which contestant. Very useful for finding who to point and laugh at for doing things like giving points to Stevie.
Don’t forget, everyone – picks are due in before the show airs tonight!
Also, keep in mind that they’ve messed with the rules a bit – no more dumping all 20 points on one shoo-in contestant. Now you can put no more than seven points on any one contestant. Makes the whole thing tougher, but more interesting as well. If you want to pick up 20 points tonight, then you’ve got to pick the whole top-three correctly…eep!
w00t - 3 out of 3 tonight plus both bonuses! after not understanding last week’s rules and getting burned by Anoop, I now feel vindicated
(by “not understanding” I didn’t realize I could change my picks AFTER they sang- /d’oh!)
Oh come on! I have to disagree with how they scored the 2nd bonus.
The question is worded “How many people are told they are NOT in the Top 12 BEFORE someone finds out they are?”
While Allison was the first one called down, she was NOT the 1st person to learn her fate - the other two were instead named as NOT moving on.
