# American Spirits Cigarettes

Have any of you out there heard of American Spirits Cigarettes. Supposedly, they don’t contain the pesticides and additives of mainstream cigarettes. Is there any truth to this, or is it all advertising hype?

By the way, I tried one several days ago and it was damn good!

Yeah, they’re “natural” cigarettes. However I’d have to point out that additives in cigarettes are pretty much irrelevant to your health, it’s the tobacco thats going to kill you, not the pesticides.

By the way, recently I’ve been finding American Spirit advertisements in magazines that promise to send a free sample carton to people who call a certain phone number. Now, a sample pack I can see, sure, but a carton? Whats the deal?

I have heard that the cancer rate among smokers is significantly higher now than, say, 50 years ago. Anyone know if this is the case?

Also, does anyone know if Winston cigarettes are, also, truly “additive” free? I’ve been somewhat skeptical of their claim myself, simply because they are one of the “mainstream” cigarettes.
