Haven’t seen shred one of evidence showing that ‘mass hysteria’ exists, as you claim. But I do see plenty of evidence that shows why we pay all those gov’t LE types to do what they do.
Brutus, you have not shown any connection between the two people arrested and the ricin people in the UK except that they are all humans, which, I suppose, would make you a suspect also.
I call mass hysteria the calls for expeditive action which entails abridgements of due process and of personal rights. That is what the USA has been doing and it seems other countries as well. I say now is the time to protect individual rights and due process of law with all its guarantees to a public and fair trial. That’s all I’m saying.
‘Mass hysteria’??? we’re talking about 1 incident involving 2 people. They were accused, investigatee, and arrested, if the evidence is lacking, they will be released. Perhaps the Germans are being a bit overzealous in this case, but where does ‘mass hysteria’ come from?
These are isolated incidents of possible (or probable) bad judgement. Key word here is ‘isolated’.
Cheesesteak, I agree that we have not heard about too many other cases but it seems there are others, especially in the USA.
When I use the term “mass hysteria”, I am not referring to this individual incident but rather I am referring to a climate where many people believe it is OK to dispense with the formalities of due process and where the State is entitled to do whatever they want with the excuse of fighting terrorism. The special laws and executive orders in the USA are an example of this.
The reason I have brought the OP up here is because I rememebr a thread some time ago when this couple was arrested and some people were ready to crucify them while others thought we should wait and see what the evidence was.
I have just watched on TV news a man being lynched and burnt to death by a mob in some Latin American country. That is not the kind of society I’d like to live in.

The scary thing is, that You can find almost in every household chemicals that can with special knowledge, be done to explosive material, time-bomb equipment etc.

Just to the OP. In some countries the officials are already hysterical, because the pressure ‘of results’.
