The pathology came back that the cancer in her lungs is metastatic rhabdomyosarcoma, the same as her leg. Not surprising, but it probably would’ve been better if it had been lung cancer. Mets to the organs is bad. She had the biopsy almost two weeks ago, and only just yesterday got the pathology results. She doesn’t have an appointment with oncologist until the 10th. Meanwhile, she’s planning a trip to her daughter’s baby shower for her twins. StG ---

The chemo they tried hasn’t worked and the tumors in her lungs are growing. My sister has decided to top further treatment and spend her remaining time with her children and grandchildren. COVID will probably put a damper on that. I hope what time she has is good time. StG ---

Wow. I’ll put her in my prayers. I can say “St.G’s sister,” and I’m sure things will get sorted out, but if you’d like to tell me her first name for purposes of praying for her, please do. I mean literally: I daven three times a day, unless something interferes with my schedule-- but I nearly always manage to get morning prayers in, and that’s the long one. There’s always a spot in the standing prayer for praying for healing, and in the morning, another place, separate from the standing prayer. Before COVID, I used to go to the synagogue 4 or 5 times a week to daven with a minyan, but we haven’t been meeting; we did just get the go ahead to start meeting over the synagogue’s Zoom account. ---

Thank you, **RivkaChaya.** My sister’s name is Julie. She’s 63 and just 2 months ago had twin baby granddaughters born, It pains me they won’t be able to grow up with a grandma, since I don’t think my niece’s wife’s parents are in the picture. StG ---

My sister died this morning. Last week she went to the ER and they said the left lung was pretty much a solid mass of tumors. I still didn’t expect the end so soon - I’ve seen people survive on one lung for a long time. But she got it into her head that she only had two weeks to live. It was a long, ugly fight, one she wasn’t destined to win. She generally handled it with grace and stoicism. Her 64th birthday was a week ago today. StG ---
