Fingers crossed for broken sister. Did they transfer her too soon?
That’s a difficult assessment to make. The plan all along was to transfer her to rehab in Grand Rapids as soon as she could manage her pain with other than IV meds. Perhaps they should have given her another day or two on oral meds before they subjected her to a 600-mile journey (Kirksville MO to Columbia MO to Chicago to Grand Rapids).
That route is speculation based on what younger sister and cousin took.
Actually, I learned this morning that she traveled by air ambulance, but it’s still over 500 miles.
In other news, I also learned that this morning that she’s well enough for an OT session, so yay!
That IS good news! I’m heartened to learn she’s better.
Have been reading, but hadn’t posted yet. Glad to see the good news.
