A famous landmark in Portland is the [Hung Far Low](http://www.flickr.com/photos/leeco/5434406781/) restaurant. During the oil boom, there was a place in Anchorage called Twin Peaks Bra Shop. I think it may have been a front for another business. ---

I’ve seen vehicles for two rival companies, one called Underground Surveying and Analysis Ltd, and the other called Underground System and Sewer Repairs. The vans have huge logos for **USA** and **USSR** along the sides! ETA: Actually, looks like they’re two different branches of the [same company](http://www.usa-ltd.ie/)! ---

There was a sushi restaurant here in Montreal with the name “Fukyu”. If I remember correctly, it is an actual real Japanese word.
